La vallée de la Loue

Route of 41 km by car that will take you from Ornans to the Source of the Loue.
Ornans: with its hanging houses, narrow gardens, bridges spanning it, and reflecting ocher and blue colors. Its old buildings constructed with beautiful stones testify to the city's rich past.
Vuillafans: a village that founded its development on viticulture and industries related to the river and commerce. The city is the result of the unification of two fortresses: Châteauvieux-les-Fossés from the 11th century and Châteauneuf from the 12th century.
Lods: a village with two faces, where forges and winemakers' houses from the 16th and 17th centuries bear witness to the artisanal and winegrowing past. An ethnological trail tells this story.
Mouthier-Haute-Pierre: a former winemaking town now renowned for its kirsch, which gathers picturesque houses with vaulted cellars still equipped with their presses around the monastery that gave birth to it in the 9th century.
